Summary | 0001527: cascaded menus can be inaccessible | ||||||||||||
Description |
i'm sure this is already known, but thought i'd fill it in anyhow. cascading menus have two layout bugs currently: 1. they get clipped by the right-hand edge of the main tweak window. i think this is fairly well-known. 2. when they try to avoid getting clipped as above, by expanding to the left side of their parent menu rather than the right, a gap of about 60 pixels is introduced between the parent and child. this is a serious user-interaction problem because underneath that gap is usually more parent menu, which, when moused-over in an attempt to get to the new child menu, closes the child menu. i will now use the word 'menu' three more times in this post. menu, menu. menu. |
