Summary 0000173: System flaps show wrong playfield settings
Description The playfield settings like "thumbnails" or "parts bin" are out of sync for system-created flaps, like the supplies flap, or even for the one in the objects catalogue. To witness, the playfield menu for the supplies flap has no checkmark for "parts bin", although it clearly is one. It's fine for manually created flaps (via flaps menu).

Actually, neither the flaps nor the Objects tool are used as parts bins. If they were, then you would drag a button rather than the part represented. Try it: set 'parts bin' to true on a flap or Objects Tool page and you'll end up dragging a handy constructor button. And when you drop a new Morph (if you turn on 'accept drops') you'll get a button like the other ones.

I realize that they *act like* regular PasteUpMorphs with the parts-bin setting set (BTW, why do we use both 'parts-bin' and 'parts bin' to refer to the same thing?), but they aren't exactly like that.

I don't have any idea *why* it's like this, though. I agree that it's confusing, and probably we don't need at least two ways of making parts-bin-like things.

The flaps in the Connectors categories are not the same kind as the normal system flaps, and so they shouldn't be expected to work the same way. They will always show icons.
