Summary | 0001805: In 6690 grabbing works differently for system windows than for other morphs. Why the limitation?
Description |
Notice this contrast. Get a triangle. Bring up the halo. Click over the grab button. After you have press/released the button the triangle and halos are grabbed in the hand. They can be moved with the (while the mouse is up). A second press/release drops the triangle back into the world. Try the same thing with a system window. Something different happens. Press/release seems to grab the window for an instant (at least the drop shadow appears). But a short while later the shadow disappears and the window is stuck in the world. The only way to move a system window seems to be to drag (with mouse pressed) the grab halo or the brown move halo. Why does this work differently than for the triangle? |

Additional Information | There also seems to be no area on the system window that allows it to be grabbed into the hand. The all behave in the pickup but drop immediatly way I described for the grab handle.
