Summary | 0003761: in 7033 Dup/Clone handle has strange behavior and uninformative balloon help | |||||||||||
Description |
In fresh 7033 get a morph ( I used a curvier) call up the halos hover the mouse over the top-right (bright) green dup/sibling handle balloon help says "unknown halo handle". using bright green handle duplicate the morph. (morph is duplicated) release the mouse (all halo handles flicker then disappear) Call up halos again over duplicated morph. Move mouse over bright green handle With shift pressed press the mouse. ( Handle turns dull green a sibling of the morph is created.) Move mouse and release mouse. (All Halos reappear and TR handle remains dull green) Call up halos over the morph that was just shift-duplicated. Its TR handle is now dull green also. Call up halos over the original duplicated object. Its TR handle is bright green. |

Additional Information |
I didn't check to see which morphs acted like sibs and which didn't. The behaviour of the handles makes some sense assuming shift duplicate has made both duplicate and duplicatee siblings. Still this is complicated behavior. How is someone coming upon it suppose to figure it out. An appropriate balloon help would be useful. |
