Summary |
0006592: Change Default character encoding to UTF-8 |
Description |
Currently the default character encoding for Unix systems is ISO-8859-15 (See man Squeak at -textenc). At least on Linux system all current systems use UTF-8 for some years. So I suggest to change that default.
The best thing on Unix systems would be to just honor the locale variables. |
