|Summary||0000713: An 12-20-04 update to Linux 0.1 install locks system on loading Teapot|
An update of the Linux 0.1 image of Croquet results in a system that locks up upon loading the Teapot object.
I am starting with a Croquet_0.1_Linux.tgz downloaded 12/3. I start it, go
to first steps project, and update code from server, and do Jasmine
updates. The first prompt is '18 new update files', Then a 'flush data
cache' prompt, which removes the /data directory. It
then repeats with '19 new update files', and another 'flush data catch'
prompt, at which point it errors. It's a 'primitive has failed' attempting
to delete the directory that's already deleted. Proceeding past that, it
come to 152 files update prompt.
There is no /data directory.
Saving, and restarting Croquet from scratch. Start Teapot from the object
panel results in a 'UndefinedObject>>findlast:' error, and a total lockup.
CPU usage on TOP maxes the system. Croquet is frozzen.
This is repeatable on two systems.
At this point,there is a /data directory.
